ABOUT THE ARTIST
I was born in Maryland and moved to western Pennsylvania with my family as a young teen. My migration north continued after college, eventually settling in the Boston area.

As a boy in Maryland, my family and I used to take frequent day trips to the Laurel mountains taking in all that the mountains had to give and enjoying the simple beauty of the abundant farm land around our house.

As a teenager my appreciation for the land continued as development ate away at the rural farm land around our new home in Pennsylvania. After graduating from college and moving to the Boston area, I spent a good deal of time hiking in the mountains of New Hampshire, Maine and Vermont and vacationing along the eastern shore.

As an adult I have more responsibilities and less time to "get away" and although the need for replenishing the body and soul through these special places has subsided a bit, it has not gone away. I have found there are quite a few special places right under our noses offering the same replenishing effect, you just have to slow down and look a bit harder.

I hope my images cause you to slow down and see the unique beauty and quiet solitude that can be found not only in the mountains, but in the small quite landscapes found in your every day living.

Enjoy!
